Hello, I am Cathy Pathkiller, I have served as Ministry Assistant at Valley Baptist Church since October, 1997.  I handle the general  operations of the church office and work with Ministries of the church.

No one ever said church work was easy!  Through the years I've learned many things the hard way, which has made me more productive and able to handle multiple projects.  God has gifted me in the area of administration and I have always had a desire to help others.  Working with other people is such a blessing to me.

I was born and raised in Salinas and married to a wonderful Christian man, Dennis, for twenty-five years.  We have five wonderful sons, five grand-sons and five grand-daughters.  Spending time with our family and serving the Lord is an important part of our life.

I feel blessed to be a part of the VBC staff, as I am challenged in my own spiritual growth and have gained valuable insight and experiences from being part of the church Body as I grow and move closer to Christ.

It’s ALL about Jesus!” – that’s the battle cry of Pastor Mike Solorio. Pastor Mike has served as Pastor of VBC since October 2 2011. His spiritual pilgrimage began when he received Christ at the age of Eight. At Twelve years old, he was baptized at El Encino Baptist Church in Fresno, Ca. by his Pastor Dr. Daniel Sotelo. At the age of 19 he became the youth leader at Iglesia Nueva Esperanza (Madera, Ca) and since then has led numerous youth revivals, gang awareness programs and has volunteered for Feed My Sheep ministries (an anti-violence & drugs program) in Fresno, CA.

The Lord has also opened doors for him to do mission work in New Jersey and he has led numerous youth camps around California, Atlanta, New Orleans, Alabama and Indiana. He served for six years as a ministry associate for the California Southern Baptist Convention.  Currently, he is the youth coordinator for the California Baptist Hispanic Convention (Alianza de California).

On June 26, 2005, he was licensed and ordained at Iglesia Nueva Esperanza by Pastor Mario Solorio and Dr. Daniel Sotelo.

His ministry objective is to fulfill Gods call on his life and the passion that He has deposited in his heart by serving at VBC as their Senior Pastor, together fulfilling the Great Commandment and Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He is married to his wife Stephanie and has three children, Michael, Joseph and Marissa.
